Parvocalanus crassirostris are copepods for breeding fish and not for adding directly to an aquarium.
All the progress in recent years in reproduction has come from the use of this copepod, whether it be mandarins, dwarf angelfish, surgeonfish and many others. This small copepod is an excellent substitute for the use of brachionus plicatilis.
Instruction for cultivation:
For the cultivation of this copepod, the cultivation of the phytoplankton Isochrysis gabana is essential. Add the 250 milliliter bottle to a gallon of salt water. Add enough Isochrysis to slightly tint the color of the water. Too much phytoplankton could stress copepods, preventing them from eating. With an air pump, add 1 to 2 bubbles per second, no more. If your Isochrysis crop turns green, there is no impact for the copepod.
