Brightwell Aquatics Zooplanktōs-L is a concentrated suspension of cladocerans, a group of zooplankton that are highly preyed upon by various aquatic organisms due to their size.
The specific variety of cladocerans present in Zooplanctōs-L is rich in amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and xanthophyll (a carotenoid pigment), making it of exceptional nutritional value for the organisms by which it is consumed. These cladocerans are part of the plankton class of mesoplankton (200.0 - 2000.0µm). They are the right size to feed on many species of stony corals (large and small polyps), as well as clams and other bivalves, feather worms (Christmas worms, featherworms, etc.), larval crustaceans and bivalves, juvenile fish, and adult planktivorous fish (such as anthias, bassfish, pseudochromids, darters, chromis, etc.) and micro-predators (such as mandarinfish, some gobies, dwarf crabs, etc.).Zooplanktos-L does not require refrigeration, but storing it in a cool, shaded place will prolong the vitamin activity. Refrigeration will maximize the product's shelf life..
